What is a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) / Peer Coach?

A peer provider (e.g., certified peer recovery specialist, peer support specialist, recovery coach) is a person who uses his or her lived experience of recovery from addiction and/ or mental illness, plus skills learned in formal training, to deliver services to individuals and/or groups to promote mind-body recovery and resiliency.

How much do your services cost?

Sex, Drugs & God, Inc. does not charge for our peer support services. We are an all volunteer organization, wholly supported through donations and community support. While we will never charge a fee for our work, any donations are always welcome and appreciated.

How does peer coaching work?

After an initial meeting and assessment of needs, clients will be required to complete an on-boarding packet. From there, meetings will be as frequent as needed and determined by the client. The process of peer recovery coaching is a client led process. Clients set goals based on pre-determined life areas and begin the process of working toward established goals. Meetings consist of accountability reviews, short-range goal setting, life skill development, and coaching to learn to live life on life's terms.
